I moved around a lot growing up due to being in a military family, but I spent a majority of my life in El Paso, TX. I earned my undergraduate chemistry degree at UT El Paso (Go Miners!), where I worked with Dr. Dino Villagran on environmental remediation using electrochemical methods. Through one of these projects, I discovered my passion for organometallic chemistry, which led me to pursue my PhD at UCI in the Handford lab (Zot, Zot, Zot!). When I'm not in the lab, I enjoy playing the flute, watching TV, and exploring various craft projects like painting and crochet.
