I grew up in Shenzhen, China. I attended Colgate University for my undergraduate studies. During my time there, I worked with Profs. Anthony Chianese and Prof. Jason Keith, where I focused on organometallic catalysis and computational chemistry. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy.

 

Somewhat tired of the winter in the Northeast and my car spinning in snow, I then moved across the country to pursue my Ph.D. studies at California Institute of Technology with Prof. Theodor Agapie. During my Ph.D. studies, I engaged in a diverse range of projects centered around inorganic synthesis. When not in lab, I am probably cooking or somewhere bouldering.
