Agilent 8453 Spectrophotometer with Unisoku Cryostat

Our lab hosts an Agilent 8453 photodiode array (PDA) spectrophotometer equipped with a Unisoku Unispeks cryostat; this enables rapid collection of UV-vis data across a wide temperature range (down to a minimum of ca. –80 °C to +100 °C. An argon manifold provides an inert gas blanket in the sample chamber.
You must receive three-part training from the Handford lab's equipment manager to use this equipment. This includes an initial training, monitored usage session, and final check-out.
A dinitrogen filled glovebox is available next to the Agilent 8453 for sample preparation. To use the glovebox, samples must be rigorously anhydrous and free of oxygen; please consult with the Handford lab if you are unsure of whether your samples meet these standards.
