Bruker EMX EPR Spectrometer

Stinger_View.jpg

Our Bruker EMX EPR spectrometer is equipped with an ER041XG X-band microwave bridge and ER070 electromagnet. The cryostat is an Oxford ESR900 with ITC 503 controller. Cooling is supplied by a ColdEdge Stinger system, capable of providing temperatures down to 4 K.

You must receive three-part training from the Handford lab's equipment manager to use this equipment. This includes an initial training, monitored usage session, and final check-out. We request that, for groups with multiple users of the EPR spectrometer, one person is designated as the group "superuser." The superuser will be the sole individual responsible for operating the spectrometer and collecting spectra for their group.

Please plan at least 48 h in advance to if you would like to use the Stinger to cool your sample; the system requires an extensive pump-down prior to operation.

A dinitrogen filled glovebox is available in the same room for sample preparation. To use the glovebox, samples must be rigorously anhydrous and free of oxygen; please consult with the Handford lab if you are unsure of whether your samples meet these standards.

Below is a view-only version of the calendar for this equipment. To gain access to the calendar, please email Rex to be connected with the group member responsible for this equipment. Note: the calendar is not viewable on a mobile device.
